Summer Term

The third term of each academic year, or 'Summer Term' as York likes to label it, is apparently when I start to feel a little bit homesick. Somehow the knowledge that I'll be jetting off in approximately eight weeks' time makes the previously ethereal memories of home start to crystallise, and I start wondering how everyone's been doing, and I start MSNing/emailing people I've been ignoring for awhile (yes I'm a baaaad person), and I just get.. homesick, in general.

It's not an acute feeling, just a little tingling in the back of my head, but it's a marked difference for me because I usually don't get homesick at all, for the bulk of the year at least.

Perhaps that tingling in the back of your head is a manifestation of guilt, rather than homesickness. Re: you being a baaaad person. Heh.

i so understand what you mean! shiao en feels the same way too. it's normal to feel this way i guess, 'cuz of the expectancy towards home... and around this time people are finishing ofd with exams and returning home too
